4A for devices. considering that each USB device can draw 0.5A, that covers 7 power-requiring devices (like USB memory Sticks and card readers) plus some power (0.5A) for the chips, however many of your devices like printers are going to supply their own power I would think. nice layout - 5 on front and back, 2 on left side and 1 on right side where the power and input USB goes.

Note: I recommend only a few existing USB/firewire external hard disk drives out there (other than Apricorn, glyph, lacie 2TB) that I have seen so far, because they don't have fans & ventilation. see USB External HDD Cases for why. USB2.0 will work on USB1.1. If you are trying to create a FAT32 filesystem, do not use a HD larger than 127GB.
