MINI REVIEW: I have used the Maha and tenergy cells. nearly every NiMH cell set you get is going to have some variation in charging capacity/charge time, so don't worry or complain if you find things that way - that's normal. The cells have lots of power (although not half as much as some industrial alkalines), and they (the maha and tenergy blue) last somewhere around a month or two on a charge. each cell has a different charge time.
Rechargeable Batteries
the power2000 2900mAH cells only put out 2213mAH and the 2900mAH from Accupower are wimpy.
Others have cited QC problems and "over-rated" with 2900+mAH rated cells.
stick with 2700mAH and below.
you get different charging characteristics for different cells (soms charge faster, most slower), so a smart charger is a good idea, one that charges each cell separately.
I will mention that all-battery.com sells batteries with tabs, li-po, li-ion and their chargers. so if you need to make packs, you can.
they also sell high-power flashlights and low-power flashlights and solar power stuff and 4.5W-130W solar panels.
If you need high discharge rates like 18C (32400mAH?) out of an 1800mAH AA, use the Titanium cells and charger.
NiMH charges up to 1000 times.
NiMH tenergy, available at all-battery $1.75-$8 (available in bulk)
probably 1.2V
AA 2600mAH NiMH tenergy, available at all-battery $1.75 (bulk 24-pack)
rated 1.2V - on the BC1HU charger it comes out charged as 1.32V though. some comes with 6 sets of 4-pack plastic battery holders or plastic holders can be ordered.
9V 2600mAH NiMH tenergy, available at all-battery $4.99 (available in bulk)
rated 1.2V - on the BC1HU charger it comes out charged as 1.32V though.
plastic 4-AA cell battery case, available from mahaenergy $2
(4) AA 2700mAH NiMH PowerEX with plastic case, available from mahaenergy $17
note the cost. these are significantly more expensive than the tenergy cells. I don't know if that price includes shipping or not. the tenergy cells would cost $6.36 with a case and may come with a case.
C 5000mAH NiMH tenergy, available at all-battery $4.50 (available in bulk)
probably 1.2V
D 9000mAH NiMH tenergy, available at all-battery $7.95 (available in bulk)
probably 1.2V
9V 250mAH NiMH tenergy, available at all-battery $5.88 (available in bulk)
actually 8.4V, so it's really close to the proper voltage!
all NiMH battery types, including A, sub-C, etc. (available in bulk)
Power Bank for iPod Video30G/60G and iPhone 4G/8G-New!, available from all-battery, $85
2100mAH lasts for 5 hours. external power source.
